Success story - DELTA-stadium integrated in the first French International Blind Football Championship!

Cécifoot (or 5-a-side soccer) appeared in Brazil in the 1950s and made its Paralympic debut at the Athens Games in 2004.

This sport is reserved for the visually impaired and is inspired by traditional soccer, of which it follows most of the rules. It differs, however, by adapting the field and modifications adapted to the players, such as no offsides, no lateral exit from the game, no contact....

From August 28 to September 3, 2022, France hosted the first Blind Football World Grand Prix in Schiltigheim, near Strasbourg. This is a preliminary step to the participation in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.

Contacted to organize all the conception and the sound and video capture on the field, Antoine Pichon, BeeProd's General Manager, naturally chose DELTACAST as technical partner. Used to working with DELTA-stat tool for the Strasbourg Racing, he knew the ease of use of DELTACAST solutions and could, this time, discover DELTA-stadium.

Indeed, BeeProd's mission was great, on this event: graphics display on giant screens, streaming, replay, slow motion... Antoine Pichon comments: "The tool being very advanced and created for very large stadiums, my sales contact, very attentive, directed me to a medium version of the tool covering all my needs and especially adapted to the power of our machines! Rather than selling the software outright, I was offered a rental solution, which I really appreciated. It was a great economic compromise based on technical exchanges. In short: a great partnership".

As an operator, DELTA-stadium is a very flexible tool. In addition to managing displays on various screen formats, it can also integrate external data and manage additional plugins, thanks to its API. Antoine Pichon continues: "The tool is much more powerful than the use we made of it on the World Grand Prix but everything it allows to master is surprising: sound, as well as effect/light, control in one click, pyrotechnics at the time of a goal, launching a jingle or changing the advertising visual on the perimeter LEDs and so on [...] The adaptation of the tool to the needs and dimensions of the stadium, or a competition, is a second strength of DELTA-stadium."
