In 2003, the EU parliament released the WEEE 2002/96/CE directive (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment). The last implemented revision of this directive is 2012/19/EU.
This directive states that producers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) must manage and finance the collection, reuse, recycling and appropriately treat WEEE.
This directive aims to reduce electrical and electronic waste and promote recycling. Electrical and Electronic Equipment following the WEEE directive are labeled with the symbol below:
DELTACAST has met its national obligations to the WEEE by registering in Belgium (RECUPEL).
If you have purchased a DELTACAST DELTA-neo product (labeled with the WEEE symbol) in the EU and are intending to discard these products at the end of their useful life, please do not dispose of them with your other household or municipal waste. DELTACAST has labeled its branded electronic products with the WEEE symbol to alert its customers that products bearing this label should not be disposed of in a landfill or with municipal or household waste in the EU.
Instead, please be aware that DELTACAST is making a return and collection system available to you for discarding these products. Customers desiring to return their WEEE to DELTACAST to appropriately treat them can contact DELTACAST by completing an RMA request and indicate that the request is for WEEE. Note that the costs and risks inherent in shipping back the product to DELTACAST shall be borne by the holder of the equipment. The address of the processing site will be provided by DELTACAST upon request. If the equipment at the end of its life is not returned to DELTACAST, DELTACAST cannot be held liable.
For DELTACAST products purchased from a retailer or distributor other than DELTACAST, please contact the concerned retailer or distributor.
